Open Calls

TUKE Supercomputing Center announces the opening of the second official call for the allocation of computing time - PERUN#2601. This call directly follows the previous call and continues the process of making the computing resources of the HPC PERUN system available for scientific research, educational, governmental, and commercial projects that require high-performance computing capacity.

Call Timeline

Call period: 25 May 2026 - 30 November 2026
Applications open: 25 May 2026 - 30 June 2026
Project evaluation: continuously from 8 June 2026

If computing capacities remain available, the registration period may be extended. Any such extension will be announced in due course.

Continuation of Existing Projects

Applicants who wish to continue a project submitted under the previous call may submit a new project proposal with a reference to the original project. The approval process for these projects will be carried out under an accelerated procedure.

When submitting a new project, we recommend submitting the interim report as soon as possible so that the project can be included in the evaluation and approval process.

Eligibility

Applications for computing time may be submitted by:

• researchers and academic staff from Slovak universities and research institutions,
• research and governmental institutions,
• representatives of ministries and state organizations of the Slovak Republic,
• university students,
• commercial entities, such as industrial research teams or technology companies.

Terms of Use

For academic and governmental institutions, computing time is provided free of charge.

For commercial use, the terms and pricing are determined individually, depending on the scope and nature of the requested computing resources.

Objective of the Call

The PERUN#2601 call represents a continuation of the process of making the computing capacities of the HPC PERUN system available to eligible users. Its objective is to support the development of science, research, and innovation through the effective use of modern HPC technologies and to build on the successful projects implemented under the previous call.

The TUKE Supercomputing Center announces the Commercial Call COMMERCIAL#2601 for allocation of computing resources, intended exclusively for the commercial sector. The purpose of this call is to provide access to the computing resources of HPC PERUN to companies and organizations that require high-performance computing infrastructure for their commercial projects.

This call is particularly suitable for projects focused on:

• artificial intelligence and machine learning,
• big data analytics,
• simulations and modelling,
• optimization tasks,
• development and testing of new products and services.

• Application Period: continuously throughout 2026
• Project Evaluation: continuously throughout 2026
• Call Duration: May 12, 2026 – December 31, 2026

If sufficient computing capacity is available, the application deadline may be extended. Any extension will be announced through the hpc.tuke.sk portal.

How to Apply

Applicants who are not yet users of the HPC system must first register at portal.hpc.tuke.sk. After signing in to their user account, they must complete the electronic application form for COMMERCIAL#2601, providing basic project information and the requested scope of computing resources.

Who Can Apply

Applications may be submitted exclusively by commercial entities, including:

• companies and corporations,
• startups,
• industrial enterprises,
• technology firms,
• consulting and software development companies,
• educational and research institutions carrying out a commercial project.

Terms of Use

The computing resources available under this call are intended solely for commercial use.

The price for the use of computing resources will be determined individually based on the nature, scope, and complexity of the project. After submitting the application, the applicant will be contacted by the business department of the TUKE Supercomputing Center, which will prepare a commercial offer and agree on the terms of cooperation.

Purpose of the Call

The Commercial Call COMMERCIAL#2601 enables companies and organizations to access the advanced computing technologies of HPC PERUN and use them to accelerate innovation, product development, and business growth.
